Joining The Children’s Movement after two years practicing law in South Florida, Vance, who now serves as the statewide coordinator, joined the statewide team of The Movement in June 2010 as the deputy state coordinator. Working directly with Dave Lawrence, chair of The Children's Movement, Vance focuses primarily on building The Movement statewide through organizational collaborations, regional strategies, fund raising and building public awareness.

A former student body president at the University of Miami, and a graduate of the University of Miami School of Law, Vance was a fellow in the University of Miami Center for Ethics and Public Service's Street Law program teaching and creating curricula for juvenile detention centers in South Florida. Vance also worked as both a civil litigator and with Florida Legal Services prior to joining The Children's Movement. Originally from Bangor, Maine, Vance now lives in Aventura, Florida with his wife and baby daughter, Isabella.
