Saturday, June 11 marks the 4th Annual RAP River Run, consisting of a 1mile run/walk (starting at 7:30 a.m.) and a 5K race (starting at 8:00 a.m.) at Sims Park in Downtown New Port Richey. Race proceeds will benefit the Runaway Alternatives Project (RAP) house, operated by Youth and Family Alternatives, Inc. For more than 25 years, the RAP house has provided food, clothing, shelter, and counseling for Pasco County runaway and at-risk youth ranging from 10 to 17 years old.

The race course is walker friendly, and both races will be chip-timed. All finishers will receive a medal, a goodie bag, and a t-shirt.

You can register online through midnight on Monday, June 6. There are also several options for registering in person, as late as 7:15 a.m. on race day. Click here to find out how to register.
