A Victory for Pre-K and School Readiness

A quick update...

Last week, we asked Children’s Movement supporters to call and e mail members of the Senate Budget Committee and let them know that pre-K and "school readiness" need to be in the same home. What followed was a deluge of phone calls and e mails from you.

You made a real difference, reminding me again of the power within each of us – and the even more power in all of us.

Subsequently the amendments to separate VPK and "school readiness" were withdrawn.

So…that’s a good moment for the future of the children of Florida, but there’s a long way to go. The struggle is not over in the Senate, and the House is just starting discussion. Please stay close...
