The leaders and staff of The Children's Movement of Florida are gathering in Pensacola even as we speak, making final preparations for Monday's start of our 17-city tour of Florida. Fifteen Milk Party rallies, one community discussion and one mini-rally.

Some of us have been here since Thursday, meeting with and doing what we can to assist the wonderful local steering committee in Pensacola, a group of fine people and dedicated children's advocates who have everything arranged.

And so it begins. A rally in Pensacola at 10 a.m. on Labor Day, a community meeting in Panama City on Tuesday morning, a rally in Tallahassee on Tuesday evening and a rally in Gainesville on Wednesday evening.

And that's just the first week.
