How can we get more fathers involved?

Addressing a growing problem in American society, a new series of public service ads is promoting greater involvement by fathers in the lives of their children.
These ads target Hispanic, Asian-American and Indian-American fathers, though they follow a series of similar ads that focused on African-American and Caucasian dads, according to an article in The New York Times.
All of the ads remind fathers that “the smallest moments can have the biggest impact on a child’s life” and urge them to “take time to be a dad today,” says a spokesman for the National Responsible Fatherhood Clearinghouse.
Research conducted for the group shows that "children who live without their biological fathers are, on average, two to three times more likely to have educational and health problems, be victims of child abuse and engage in criminal behavior than peers who live with their married biological or adoptive parents," according to the article.
