I recently visited Nova Southeastern University to speak about The Children’s Movement. What an inspiring day!
The University is entering its 46th year. With an impressive 127,000 alumni and 29,000 students enrolled it has become the 7th largest non-for-profit independent, higher education institution in the nation.
I had the pleasure of being welcomed by Dr. Sarah Valley-Gray, Dr. Judy Coughlin, and Dr. Anne Rambo, along with many other professors and students. We discussed the importance of student involvement in our grassroots movement at Nova, as well as around the state. There was no shortage of ideas on ways to spread the word and to activate the youth in the community.
We are looking forward to participating in the university's upcoming event: “A Day for Children” Health Fair September 13th. The event is a fun-filled day which focuses on free health care for children ages birth to 15 years. And, recruitment parties and group discussions around campus over the next few months. Thank you everyone at Nova Southeastern University for the warm reception and great ideas!
