Organizing for change

I am preparing this post with my one-week-old son, Mason, by my side.
In addition to the great amount of joy and happiness he has brought to our family, Mason's presence has sparked a resurgent energy in me for the next phase of The Children’s Movement of Florida.
Starting tonight, we begin to hold organizational meetings throughout the state. Our goal at these meetings is simple: Re-engage, motivate and activate you and the rest of the movement's supporters.
There's a lot to discuss. We have an exciting agenda and goals for the next few months, focused on making progress on each of our first five issues. We strongly encourage you to attend an upcoming meeting in your region.
With your help and support, we seek to make the movement’s voice strongly heard by the political leadership in Florida. State leaders must realize that the time has come to make our children the state's highest priority.
During the next three months, your local legislative delegations will be holding meetings in your area to hear from local citizens and discuss the upcoming legislative session in Tallahassee. With the support and volunteer work of our local committees, The Children’s Movement of Florida plans to attend these meetings to present its platform and request its immediate implementation.
There is power in numbers. The more supporters who attend their local legislative delegation meetings on behalf of the movement, the more the movement’s social campaign for change will resonate in Tallahassee.
Contact your local coordinator for more information about your organizational meeting or upcoming local legislative delegation meeting.
The movement needs your help.
