Reading During the Summer Helps Kids Avoid the "Summer Slide"

The Children’s Board of Hillsborough County and the School Board of Hillsborough County have teamed up to raise awareness among parents about the importance of keeping kids reading even when school is out. Research shows that reading even a few books over the summer can prevent elementary aged kids from losing ground academically when they are away from school.
