The Children's Movement in Pensacola
By David Abrams, State Coordinator (North FL) on 12/08/2010 @ 02:55 PM
The Children's Movement of Florida-Pensacola Chapter met on Friday, Dec. 3. I have to say, Escambia County had quite the impressive group of leaders in attendance. John Hosman, COO of FS Advisors, will be leading the way and present our 2011 legislative agenda at the Dec. 14th Legislative Delegation meeting taking place at Pensacola State College-WSRE Studio. Diane Hutcherson, executive director for The Early Learning Coalition of Escambia County, will be receiving the Children's Movement of Florida T-Shirts on Friday to distribute to the 50-100 folks expected to be present on the 14th.
I'd also like to mention the Pensacola Chapter has taken a proactive approach in further organizing our attendance at the Okaloosa County Legislative Delegation meeting on Dec. 15th as well. Our leaders in Pensacola think it's essential Sen. Don Gaetz listens to our agenda for a 2nd time. Randy Fleming from Florida Department of Children and Families will present our agenda in Okaloosa.
It is clear Florida's Panhandle wants children to be #1!
