What is a “grassroots” movement?
Wikipedia defines a “grassroots” movement as a movement driven by the politics of a community, often at the local level with many volunteers giving their time and support. The goal of The Children’s Movement of Florida is to create a “grassroots” movement that will ultimately change the priorities of our state.
So, how can you help the “Milk Party?”
If you attended one of the 17 “milk party” rallies in September and filled out an information card, you should’ve received a call from one of our four regional coordinators inviting you to attend the organizational meeting in your area. This will be an opportunity for you and your community to learn more about the “next steps” for The Children’s Movement of Florida, and how you can help support our five focus areas.
If you did not receive a phone call from one of our regional coordinators and would like to attend the organizational meeting in your community, please submit your name, e-mail and hometown in our “Want to Help?” section. Nick Duran, our campaign manager, or I will get back to you immediately with information about your regional coordinator and upcoming events.
A grassroots movement is only as strong as its local support. We need your help.
