Candidate Forum - August 25, 2016

The Children's Movement, a non-partisan political advocacy organization, hosted a legislative candidate forum in Melbourne that sent a clear message about how deeply Floridians care about early childhood education and health care for the state's youngest residents.

The three contenders in the House District 52 Republican primary told a room of engaged voters that, if elected, they would work to make early learning a top priority and find ways to increase state investment for those programs.

During the "Strong Start for All Children" Candidate Forum, candidates Sen. Thad Altman, Brian Hodgers and Fritz VanVolkenburgh discussed the value of early childhood programs, and how these programs can affect future economic development when these children join the workforce.
