Board of Advisors - February 28, 2017

At The Movement’s first meeting of its Broward Board of Advisors, a diverse group of community leaders spoke passionately about a range of social concerns, from poverty to health care to school readiness. They also discussed efforts in Broward to mobilize more support for the initiatives championed by The Movement’s 2017 Agenda. From local to statewide issues, board members echoed a unified message of increasing engaging local legislators and recruiting more professionals from the public, private and faith-based sectors.

The Movement continually seeks to identify community members who are interested in bringing early childhood initiatives to the forefront of discussions and thus join The Movement to play a supportive role in the board of advisors. That’s one of the ways to ensure that Florida becomes the best state in the nation for our children- and we want everyone at the table.
