Weeki Wachee Kiwanis - February 27, 2017

Building a sustainable movement to help young children in Florida means understanding the importance of developing relationships with local like-minded organizations.

Speaking to the Kiwanis Club of Weeki Wachee, a well-respected, volunteer-driven organization, helps The Children’s Movement connect with action-oriented supporters of positive change for young children. Kiwanis International has adopted the “Young Children Priority One” initiative after recognizing that the needs of children not only vary from community to community, but also that local chapters should have good insight to assess and then address those needs with the full support of Kiwanis International.

The local Kiwanis’ “Young Children Priority One” program focuses on improving the long- term outcomes of children birth to 5 in the Weeki Wachee community through parent education and support, child development and care and quality health care for children – all of which are in line with The Movement’s 2017 Agenda.
