"Movement Talks" dinners bring together eight to 14 leaders from communities across Florida to engage in a moderated discussion about the lack of equity in early childhood education in our state. The evening culminates with participants committing to taking action - based on each person's talents and resources- toward making Florida the best state in the nation for young children.
Last May, we launched our first Movement Talks dinner in Gainesville. Since then, we held four more, in Pensacola, Orlando, New Port Richey and Melbourne. These dinners helped educate Floridians about the well-documented social, educational and financial benefits of readying our youngest children for success in kindergarten and beyond.
Thanks to the generous support of AT&T, we are already planning for 2017 and aiming to host 20 Movement Talks dinners around Florida. Please let us know if you would like to get involved in one in your area.
