The Florida Poll

Together, Bendixen & Amandi and The Tarrance Group designed a poll of 1,515 likely voters with a 2.5 percent margin of error (meaning a highly reliable poll) of the six issues raised in early 2009 gatherings of Florida leaders. The results, available in August 2009, showed two rising to the top and both with significant statewide support:

1. Health insurance for all Florida children.
2. Accessible, affordable screening available to all parents in their children's early years to see whether there might be special needs (ranging from autism to speech and hearing challenges to attention deficit disorders) that if treated early can improve children's chances for success in school and in life.
