Movement Talks - January 5, 2017

Our first Movement Talks dinners for 2017 was held in Southwest Florida. The Naples dinner included leaders in social science research, higher and early childhood education, non-profit management, journalism and philanthropy. Everyone engaged in a lively conversation about how to best help our youngest children be successful in life. The dinner was hosted by Dr. Larry Miller, dean of the School of Education at Florida SouthWestern State College in Fort Myers.

The dinner took place on the eve of an important conference about the cost of getting those children ready for kindergarten. Early childhood educators in Charlotte, Collier, Hendry, Glades and Lee counties all contributed to a detailed cost study for the conference.
