"Milk Party" Comes to Gainesville

The Children’s Movement of Florida plans to hold a “Milk Party” rally in Gainesville on Wednesday to raise awareness about Florida’s need to make children a priority. The Children’s Movement of Florida is holding 15 rallies across the state in an attempt to show policymakers they need to make children, especially health insurance for kids, a priority in their decisions. The rally will be held at Santa Fe College at 7 pm and will last for an hour, and it will feature a live band along with a glass of two percent milk and a healthy cookie for all attendees. The Movement plans to hold a debate on children’s issues between the gubernatorial candidates on October 16th.
