Pulitzer winner to speak at YMCA gathering

DAYTONA BEACH -- The Volusia-Flagler Family YMCA has scheduled its annual meeting to thank the volunteers, donors and partners who made a difference in the lives of many in Volusia and Flagler counties.

The meeting will be from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. on April 7 at the Daytona 500 Club at Daytona International Speedway. The event's host will be Leslye Gale of the Magic Morning Show 107.7.

David Lawrence Jr., a five-time Pulitzer Prize winner formerly with the Miami Herald, will be the speaker at the annual meeting. He is also chair of the Children's Movement of Florida, publisher, journalist and leading national advocate for children.

Tickets for the event are $25. Reservations must be made in advance.
