Parents Go Back to School, Set Good Examples for Kids

"Working with parents to help the children is often referred to as a “two-generation model.” The idea is that even the best programs for poor children are limited by what is happening at home. If a parent is abusive, unemployed, addicted to drugs or alcohol, in tumultuous relationships or constantly worried about money, the child absorbs the stress. A two-gen approach works with the whole family."
