Jack & Jill Center’s mission is to strengthen children and families through innovative education, supportive programming and community engagement. It achieves its mission by focusing on both the children and family units as a whole, so that the entire household, children and parents alike, are able to reach their full potential. Since 1942, Jack & Jill Center has served more than 30,000 children and families in South Florida. It currently serves as a NAEYC-accredited year-round early learning program for children aged six weeks through preschool, as well as an elementary school.

Amy Jewell has dedicated her entire career to ensuring that children, families, and communities have the opportunity to reach their full potential. She has held leadership positions in various organizations, including YMCA associations, the Jewish Community Center of Greater Kansas City, and local government in Florida. Her focus has always been on delivering the best possible programs to support thriving families.
Amy’s educational background includes an Executive MBA from Washington University in St. Louis and a Bachelor of Science degree in psychology. Throughout her career, she consistently crafted strategic plans that led to significant growth in program impact, increased revenue, improved outcomes, successful partnerships, and record-breaking fundraising efforts.
In addition to her strategic acumen, Amy excels at inspiring and developing effective boards, staff teams, and partnerships. She encourages innovation and collaboration to improve services and systems. Her leadership extends beyond routine operations—she has successfully guided organizations through crises such as an EF-5 tornado, a targeted hate crime, hurricane recovery efforts, and the challenges posed by the COVID-19 pandemic.
Amy is married to Mathew Jewell and is the proud parent of three adult children.
