How This Boss Makes an Impact for Children in Florida

Since starting the agency as a brand new mom, Big Sea has tried to provide a place for parents to feel both successful and comfortable. It started with (incredibly) flexible hours and a remote-first work environment that allows parents to pick their kids up from school or attend appointments or stay home with a sick child as necessary (or an office desk if they want a place to get away, too). We offer up to 8 weeks of paid parental leave that covers both primary and secondary caregivers, plus short-term disability that covers a longer period if they choose to take it. Upon return to work, we offer a ramp-up period with half-days or short weeks for the first few months. We provide unlimited PTO, pay 100% of health, dental, and vision insurance for every team member and offer a low-cost family plan.  And, while all of these official policies are great, what you can't see in our handbook is how incredibly supportive and thoughtful our entire team is, pitching in whenever necessary to cover parents in need.
