Bosses for Babies

How This Boss Makes an Impact for Children in Florida

Chris Steinocher has been a resident of St. Petersburg for over 33 years, along with his wife, Juli. They are the proud parents of two boys and also are St Pete Rec Pickleball Champions. Additionally, Chris coached little league baseball when his boys were younger. His professional goal with the St. Petersburg Area Chamber of Commerce is to ensure this city does everything it can to be so awesome that his two boys will never want to move to another community. In addition to making the city great for his own children, Chris knows how important it is to foster a family-friendly work environment for his employees. He understands that parents and caregivers are integral parts of our local workforce. By ensuring appropriate benefits to support them throughout all phases of life, the Chamber recognizes this will help with employee retention and growth opportunities in the future. Regular full-time employees (male and female) are eligible for a maximum of six weeks of excused childbirth/adoption leave. Additionally, for up to one year after a child’s birth, any employee breastfeeding her child will be provided reasonable break times as needed for pumping.
