Superintendent Kevin K. Hendrick advocates for children, families, and educators. During his tenure, he has increased access, opportunities, and success for early learning through partnerships and high-quality professional development.
Mr. Hendrick has dedicated more than half his life to children's education. He exemplifies the district's core values through his commitment to children, families, and the community and his focus on respectful and caring relationships.
Under Mr. Hendrick's leadership, the district expanded early literacy initiatives to support students in Pre-K through grade 3, implemented free tuition for the children of employees in elementary school programs for 3 and 4-year-olds, and increased access to resources for families of English learners and children with special needs.

Dedicated to supporting district employees, Mr. Hendrick led a project to improve the new-employee onboarding experience. He created a program that gives employees opportunities to recognize and celebrate their colleagues.

Superintendent Kevin Hendrick is an innovative leader and gifted communicator with a record of improving student achievement, working collaboratively and building cultures of excellence.
During his leadership, Pinellas County Schools has demonstrated the highest graduation rates for all students in district history and consistently increased academic performance in English Language Arts and Mathematics.
Since becoming the Superintendent of Pinellas County Schools, Mr. Hendrick has expanded early learning and literacy initiatives and launched College and Career Centers at every district high school.
Most recently, he has established a pilot program to reimagine the middle school curriculum and ease the transition from elementary to high school. As a former teacher, coach and school and district office leader, Superintendent Hendrick understands the value of relationships. Focused on re-energizing the district’s Core Values, he launched an employee recognition program that gives employees opportunities to recognize and celebrate their colleagues.
