Coordinator, Maternal & Child Health

Bio

Diana Alvarado is a Master in Public Health student at Florida International University. She has
a passion for helping improve children’s health and development and was drawn to the
Children’s Movement commitment to the three pillars of early childhood as a way to improve
children’s learning and health outcomes in the long run.

As a native of Miami, Diana deeply cares about working with the community to create
sustainable and holistic solutions to address early learning and children’s health needs throughout
Florida.

Diana has experience with education through her work as a Teaching Fellow with
Breakthrough Miami and as an independent tutor for several years. She also works as the
Maternal and Child Health newsletter editor at FIU Stempel College, where she promotes
maternal and child health-related events and opportunities in the Miami community.

Outside of work, Diana enjoys teaching herself new languages, biking, and exploring all the
coffee shops and bookstores Miami has to offer.
