How This Boss Makes an Impact for Children in Florida

The mission of the Children’s Services Council of Martin County (CSCMC) is to enhance the lives of the children of Martin County and enable them to attain their full potential, and this mission extends to their team as well. Staff are provided with medical and dental benefits as well as employee assistance program benefits, and a generous PTO policy for both hourly and salaried employees that includes paid parental leave. Additionally, staff have the opportunity to participate in a flexible schedule as well as work remotely as needed.

The goals of CSCMC include promoting the social, psychological and physical growth of all children and youth in Martin County, and developing and allocating resources to create and thereafter support a comprehensive, coordinated, and accountable system of program services based upon the needs of children and families. They advocate on behalf of children and families in the realm of public policy, serve as a conduit for funding and training resources, and act as a coordinating umbrella for the Martin County service community to attend to children. Aside from their advocacy, they seek to identify and assess at-risk children early in their lives, establish a creative environment for responding to children’s needs, and ultimately create a community standard by which to assess the viability of existing and proposed children’s programs to adequately address the needs of Martin County children.
