Bosses for Babies

How This Boss Makes an Impact for Children in Florida

As an advocate, Samantha believes one key to unlocking Florida’s potential is investing in early childhood development and the systems that enable families to be responsive to their children’s needs. When Samantha and her husband learned she was pregnant with their first child, Samantha began exploring professional opportunities that would allow her to balance her career ambitions with the desire to be an engaged and present mother. But as an expecting mother knows, change during this season can quickly be met with unexpected challenges.

When Samantha finally found an organization that aligned with her professional goals and personal values, she was thrilled to learn that the employer would immediately offer paid maternity leave, flexible hours, and sick days. Not only did their policies allow Samantha to return to work when she was ready, they supported her goals and responsibilities as a mother.

Today, Samantha runs her own business and advocates for children and families in the workplace. Through her work, she is an ardent supporter of Bosses for Babies and often speaks on the importance of early learning with her clients. She looks forward to extending family-friendly benefits to employees as her business grows.
